Official Fabrics for the
2012 Maine Quilt Shop Hop
We are thrilled to be partnering with Hoffman of California for the 2012 Maine Quilt Shop Hop. The official fabric this year is Hoffman Bali Batiks.
These exquisite fabrics are produced by hand on the lush tropical island of Bali. The fabric is either painted by hand with dye, batiked, or created with a combination of these processes. Some designs have as many as five different techniques used to create the finished piece.

We worked closely with Hoffman Fabrics to choose four fabrics for the Shop Challenge that would represent the beautiful waters of Maine. They embody the deep blues of our rivers and lakes, and the teal blue waters of the bays and ocean.
Each shop will have an exquisite selection of Hoffman Bali Batiks, hand-picked by them. As you travel around to the shops, be sure to take a look at their assortment. Also, you will find inspiration in each shop with their Challenge Quilts, made using four Hoffman Bali Batiks and using specific guidelines.
